Making Disciples who Make Disciples..
Box? What Box?
Have you tried some of these ideas?
Outside the Box
A few ideas:
Prayer Walk.
Take your group on a prayer walk around your
neighborhood (or another area) praying over houses as
you pass, that God would reach the souls in our
community, have mercy, and build the Kingdom of God.
Game Night. It’s OK to break out a board game occasionally and surprise everyone with some simple games or fellowship.
Testimony Night: Ask everyone to share what Christ did in their life, a story of a God Encounter, or a testimony of healing.
Prayer and Healing. Right away ask about each and every prayer need, and take generous time to pray about each and every area that surfaces. Ask God to heal any sickness present or represented.
Prayer and Prophecy. Like above, but take turns waiting on God for words of encouragement by and for each person in the group. (Be mindful of first time visitors on this.)
Reading the Word. Take turns around the room reading a section of scripture and then discussing what it means to the reader.
Party. Have everyone bring food, and use the time to talk and laugh and maybe play some games.
Have a group picnic at the beach or park.
Serve. Go clean a widow’s house, fix up a neighbors yard, or do a service project at the church.
Play softball. Go bowling. Play basketball. Scrapbook. In other words, do something together you can make happen!
Have a married couples’ date night.
Invite a guest. Have an international dinner with one of our missionaries.
Pray! Have an all night prayer meeting!
