The Road to Maturity- An Introduction

Making Disciples Who Make Disciples

How do you take the unsaved of our community, reach them for Christ, get them free, and turn each new Christian into a productive disciple… who will in turn be able to make more disciples? That was the question we asked years ago when we began seeking God in this vision.  We wanted a systematic plan, whereby every leader at Central Assembly would know and understand exactly what needed to be done.  By having a specific plan that everyone could understand, we would be able to share resources and encourage the entire body of Christ at Central Assembly to be motivated into active ministry.

 We sought God for several years. We sought counsel. We visited the most productive, disciple making churches we could find the world-over. God spoke clearly to us that we should learn principles, not just copy models.    We took our time, and when the Spirit witnessed, we took the steps.

 What resulted is something we call “The Road to Maturity.”   Much of it was God-breathed directly to us. Other elements we received indirectly, because we leaned them from other breakthrough churches that imparted their wisdom and experiences to us.
